I love u.s. games decks, and this deck is a beautiful example. It's a nice size, and the art is fantastic. Personally, I appreciate the representation, diversity and inclusive symbolism. For me, tarot is about reflecting aspects of humanity, spirit and energies in ourselves and the world. We all have a ever changing and evolving blend or divergence of energies, so I really like decks that reflect that reality, and that reflect existance of all different people. The individuals of mixed biology on The Lovers illustrates this and I find it a beautiful representation of a meaning of this card.
This deck is gorgeous! But some of the gold on the back of the cards is already starting to rub away. Super bummed, I've only had them for a couple weeks. :/
Oh mah gawd how can they puts disversitah in mah tarot cards?! I jus want the straight hwhite kind thankyavery much.But really, the art is so beautiful, I don't think I'll even look for another deck. I love all the different kinds of people depicted, and that most traditional religious imagery is removed.There's nudity in the traditional Rider-Waite deck, there's nudity here. The only cards that might make you clutch your pearls are The Devil and The Lovers. I'm including pics of them so you can decide how much you love/hate them before you buy the deck. Also including pics of my general favorites.
